Biotechnology Unit Head
Graduated in biology with master’s degree in genetics and evolution and PhD in Structural and Functional Biology of Proteins, Monique has over 20 years of experience in biotechnology, including: tech transfer of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies, development and scale-up of bioprocess, analytical characterization of biomolecules and people management.
Monique is currently the Biotechnology Unit Head at Libbs Farmacêutica, in São Paulo, Brazil. Leading a team of approximately 60 people. Monique contributed to get the approval for the first monoclonal antibody fully produced in Brazil, in the 2019. Since then, she has been working on bringing new molecules and establishing a robust biotech industry in the country.
