Mayra Galindo Leal, has been part of the Mexican Association to Fight Cancer for 20 years. Since joining the association, she has been the main driver of initiatives for cancer patients and their families, an advocate for greater access to medicines for those who need them. She has developed a long session with major health institutions, as well as with national organizations and coalitions compared to the health issue. Mayra was a volunteer for the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases for more than seventeen years and held several positions such as Treasurer, President and member of the Steering Committee. Additionally in 2000, she formed the Network Against Cancer, an alliance that can be found in 30 organizations that works to provide comprehensive support to people living with cancer.
