Socorro Márquez is a Biologist Pharmaceutical Chemist graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Administration from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico). She began her professional career in the Pharmaceutical Industry, initially focusing on areas of Quality Assurance. She joined GlaxoWellcome in 1994 (now GSK) in Mexico, specializing in the Legal, Technical and Scientific analysis of medicines for human use (Regulatory Affairs). She later worked at Pfizer (2001) working in the same area increasing her experience at the Regional level. Prior to her current job, she was at Ranbaxy starting operations in Mexico (2004) occupying the Regulatory Affairs Management with increased responsibilities. In 2009 she joined the Novartis company in the Generics Sandoz division, where she currently holds the Directorate of Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Studies (Bioequivalence Studies) continuing her growth in increasing responsibilities within the company.
