Rocio is a bacteriologist committed and passionate about public health and understanding the interactions between economics and health. She has been working on safety, quality, universal access, and self-sufficiency of blood, tissues, and anatomical components, through impact evaluation studies, both economic and social assessment. After working in INVIMA and Ministry of Health, she joined to the diagnostic industry to understand it and now she works as Director of Plasma for LifeFactors; her challenge is to ensure that the human plasma that is currently wasted in our region can be used as raw material for the production of essential medicines for our populations.
