General Director
Rafael is a Chemical Engineer from La Salle University in Mexico City, boasting over 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Since 2009, he has served as the General Director of the National Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry (CANIFARMA). In addition to his current role, Rafael holds several prominent positions: he is the President of the Health Commission of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic COPARMEX Mexico City, a Proprietary advisor on the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the Mexican Republic (CONCAMIN), and a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Executives of Business and Professional Organizations, A.C. Previously, Rafael served as the Executive Director of the Mexican Association of Pharmaceutical Research Industries, A.C. (AMIIF) for 13 years and as the Executive Director of the National Association of Medicine Manufacturers (ANAFAM) for over 8 years. In the public sector, he held roles such as General Coordinator of Medicines of the Intersecretarial Commission of the Pharmaceutical Industry (CIFA) and Deputy Director of the Health Supplies Industry in the Secretariat of Commerce and Industrial Development.
