Pablo holds a PhD in Chemical Sciences (Molecular Biology) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain, 2000), where he researched on cancer gene therapy. After a postdoctoral stay at the University of St. Andrews (UK), researching in biotechnology, he joined the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) in 2008. He has been quality assessor in the Biological Products, Advanced Therapies and Biotechnology Division at the AEMPS, where since 2022 he is head of service of Virology. He is a member of the Biologics Working Group (BWP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and other European groups.
